and again now that caused all the freon to leak out. The other company told me my 8yr old unit needed to be replaced and you need to replace all units about every 8-10 yrs. Called American talked to Melanie on the phone to get a second opinion she was amazing and sent Allen and Kyle out next day (today). The guys showed up took a look, showed me the leak and where the other company did a really poor job of “fixing” the leak last time. Allen and Kyle fixed me right up, showed me the fixed leak under pressure again filled her up with Freon, gave me a military discount and went about their day! During this appointment my 2 yr old was switching from trying to shoot them with nerf guns and trying to spray us with a water hose by “washing” the car. I saved them from the water but not sure if he got a nerf bullet to the back. They were so kind about it and got me fixed right up.
My advice if you’re thinking about calling them is just do it and don’t waste your time elsewhere. We’re military and my husband is never at home to deal with this kind of stuff. Which leads to company’s trying to convince me I need to spend 10k on a new unit. Luckily I called American for a second opinion and got taken care of without replacing the unit!
